How fun!Īs I said, this is better than I expected from a budget title, but when it comes to games like this, you can tell they didn’t hire a writer or anything like that, and the level design is basic. Like if you need some info from a person, you can beat him up until he tells you, then you can leave. Not entirely, because you cant kill civilians, but the freedom to go where you want or do what you want to do. I like the aspect in this game that you can do what you want.
The game is longer than I expected from a budget title, but they used cheap tricks to increase gameplay time, like making you run up to the top of a building, then saying, “A guy just entered the building.â€? So you have to run back down to the bottom and clock him, just to run back up to the top(which takes a while). The city isn’t generalized like in GTA, each level has its own area. This game does that a lot, but the scare factor disappears as you begin to anticipate when this is going to happen. Then boom! The door flies open and a guy blasts me with a shotgun. The whole city is pretty quiet, and I walked into an alley. In the first mission, I was a bit startled. The first thing you have to do in most missions is find a place. The city isn’t too detailed, a few cars sitting around, none move. If you have a weapon out when you are within 20 feet or so of a police officer, he recognizes you and shoots at you and chases after you, but if you can manage to sneak up behind a cop, you can shoot him or bash him quietly, avoiding the risk of being arrested. You cannot kill civilians, you fail if you do.
